Well done Hoops.

What a screamer from Dom Ball!
Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

Re: Special match thread Cardiff
So many of us were calling for Chair to be played in the centre of the front 3. Today we saw how much better he plays in that position. He's so much more effective in the centre than wide left. I hope Warburton continues to him play there.

It's definitely the most balanced the side has been, i think what's key for Chair is a bit of freedom, he doesn't generally pick up the ball in the positions you might expect from a traditional '10' but he's certainly not someone who should be on the flank all game.

Agree Satch, I always thought eze was wasted out wide, maybe chair the same, get your best players closer to the ball more often.

Re: Special match thread Cardiff
Yes, too often he drops deep searching for the ball and I think he'd do better receiving the ball further up the pitch. Interestingly, looking at his heatmap today, a large percentage of his 'touches' were on the left close to Cardiff's corner.Satch wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 5:34 pmIt's definitely the most balanced the side has been, i think what's key for Chair is a bit of freedom, he doesn't generally pick up the ball in the positions you might expect from a traditional '10' but he's certainly not someone who should be on the flank all game.
