If The Season Is Over...

Post by wrinklyhoop » Tue Mar 17, 2020 5:21 pm

I’m so glad we went to Preston. What a fitting end to what has been a thoroughly enjoyable season, watching an exciting team with goals galore, not always at the end we’d prefer of course! Finishing with a six game unbeaten run, culminating in that second half master class at Preston, is a great memory of a team we’re unlikely to see the like of for a while.

Not at Preston, but the season has seen some of the highest quality attacking football in years, certainly since AT.

Defending has been atrocious, that’s with a positive spin, but some of the attacking play, skill, pace, power, amazing.

Even the defence improved somewhat throughout February. We'll not know if that was a blip now. Ah well, we can do nought but try to stay well and hope next season kicks off on time.
I wonder what the authorities will come up with to resolve the question of what to do about the tail end of this season ? Bound to raise some hackles.
