Team for tomorrow/prediction

Post by old pauline » Fri Feb 09, 2018 12:53 pm

Have seen on the Offish that Luongi is out. With Borysiuk and Goss gone and Manning suspended I can only think that Cousins will occupy the third spot in centre midfield. No doubt Ollie will go for a fairly defensive 5 man defence. I think the team will be:

Smithies
Perch
Robinson
Scowen
Onuoha
Lynch
Baptiste
Cousins
Freeman
Smith
Washy

Subs: Ingram, Furs, Bidwell, Eze, Osayi Samuel, Oteh, Chair

And my scoreline ?

A 0-2 reversal
Come on you Sooopa ........

Jota’s goal against Sheff Utd the other day was quite ridiculous, one-two passing from left to right it was like watching someone play Fifa, Wolves are so far apart from anything else in this leagues it’s a joke.

We’ve beaten them once & id like to think we have a chance again but my head says if we get away from Molleniux tomorrow with anything that remotely resembles a football score then I’ll be delighted.

You are a little optimistic that Cousins will be fit :D

I'd play

Smithies

Furlong
Onuoha
Lynch
Robinson

Cousins
Scowen
Freeman

Wszolek
Eze
Washington

Ingram, Bidwell, Perch, Chair, Shodipo, Oteh, Smith

Big punt playing Eze in what be effectively a False 9 role but i'd fancy he could hold the ball up, the question marks over his work rate would be a worry though.

I think IH will play

Smithies

Perch
Baptiste
Onuoha
Lynch
Robinson

Cousins
Scowen
Freeman

Smith
Washington

Ingram, Baptiste, Bidwell, Chair, Wszolek, BOS, Oteh

I think we'll lose 3-0 but hopefully, I'm completely wrong.

Sorry, question marks over Eze's work rate? Whose question marks would they be?

The Wycombe fans and management. We'll have to find out for ourselves.

Can imagine us being under the kind of pressure we were in this game: would be great to come away with the same result!
Was there with my fiancée as we lived nearby at the time: remember thinking "what on earth is he doing?" when Dichio shaped to shoot from so far out.... What a goal line clearance from Macca as well. Think Dean Richards played for them: sad that the two strongest and toughest players on the pitch that day are no longer with us.....

Think we will lose 2-0 tomorrow unfortunately.

Dean Richards very sad remember Seeing his mrs & kids walk onto the pitch, life can be so cruel.

It was just announced that Liam Miller has passed away. 36 ffs, he was still playing football (amateur level) in 2016 according to wiki.
