At least we've had a lesson recently on how to see a game out with only ten men.... Should be a piece of cake

Bizarre the amount of chances we had there at the end. Could have had 4

Well done and 10 points off third from bottom if Hull lose as they're doing right now. Park the bus for a point next Sat away to Wolves would be great.

Only caught the end of the match. Great win and needed. Pick up points on those below and we should be OK. Scowen scores against his former club as well - is that his first for us? Clean sheet as well. Good response after last week. Washington still sounds like he couldn't hit a cow's arse and all that, but I'm still a Happy bunny tonight

Agree, great win but in front of goal we are shocking. Catch the highlights if you can and see how we squander chance after chance. Our forward line is not up to Championship standards.
Still three very important points, so happy for today.

Delighted to get a much-needed win, even if it wasn't pretty.

Just back (at my parents in Iver)
First half was dire from both teams. Great Scowen goal. Gutsy performance after Manning's needless sending off, typified by Washington's endeavour and commitment: the lad deserved a goal today. Lynch was my MOTM today, faultless at the back and some excellent crosses.
Barnsley will surely be one the three teams relegated based on that performance.

Happy boys... We are more than adequate for this league. But it's cathatric for some to bitch n moan our forward line... OR something... OR nothing.
Only lost the same as Sheff utd.
Don't hear Sean Bean bitching and moaning. .. but maybe we have a better calibre of fan/muppet.
Still hopefully we will be relegated and some can rejoice

Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

A rather bleak game on a bleak afternoon, but job done and the league table looks more encouraging especially with Wolves away impending. Was Luongo left out because of his comments on Holloway's Monday meeting ? Cousins was a poor replacement despite playing in a slightly more central role.
The team did well seeing out the last twenty mins with 10 men. Washington, despite his endeavour is frankly hopeless. Perch solid after being out so long. I feel better now I'm home in the warm and dry !

Good to have the points but, Scowen's goal aside, there wasn't much to cheer about.
I thought Wszolek did well coming back.
As for Wishy Washy

The bit of Holloway's post match I have seen says that he switched Freeman from the hole in behind to a deeper role second half, Cousins was pushed into the role further forward as Freeman better coming on to the play.
Interested to hear from those there if both players improved for the switch - many on here have said Cousins was an attacking midfielder/box to box player and we should give him the chance to play that role.
Glad to hear Joel Lynch had a good game - said a while back he felt he hadn't done himself justice.

What did Luongo say then ? I missed that.222gers wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 6:27 pmA rather bleak game on a bleak afternoon, but job done and the league table looks more encouraging especially with Wolves away impending. Luongo simply said the Monday meeting was a pretty normal one. In his post match interview Ollie said Luongo was injured.IJM wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 8:37 pmWhat did Luongo say then ?
