Caulker watch

Post by stainrod's elbow » Mon Jan 29, 2018 6:39 pm

https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/l ... 17371.html

Now training with Luton Town, who are officially 'not' buying him.

Is his the fastest and furthest career fall in professional football anyone can remember? And if he can use Luton as a 'platform' to get himself fit, does anyone know why he couldn't do that while being paid a fortune with us?

F*ck you Caulker, and f*ck 'pro' football! aniwall

SWP and Steffen Moore could give Caulker a jog for this money.

Ah yes, the legendary Stefan! A 'forward' whose professional career amounted to 93 apps (including 39 for us) and, er, 8 goals. Brought to LR by a certain IH, who, if memory serves, pronounced him a 'real footballer'. Finally found his level scoring shedloads for the likes of St Neotts Town, Halesowen Town and Silhill 4th XI.

There's a moral in that sorry little parable somewhere.

Its difficult to know whether its the money and all that surrounds the game that has got Caulker to career off the tracks or whether it is the player himself. Given the chances he has been given I am inclined to think it is the latter. Either way, a real waste of talent.
Come on you Sooopa ........

Ridiculous.

To think that even after his poor performances, he still had the likes of Southampton and Liverpool take him on board.

Major, major issues there... But still feel a Championship club will take a punt on him.

And that's why football is in such a mess.

All he deserved is a pay as you play deal. But he'll end up back on the gravy train before you know it. Deep down I doubt he wants to be a footballer now but the money will pull him back.

Just had a chat with an ex associate of Caulker, said the blokes head has gone, used to 30k a time in the bookies with him, used to leave Caulker in clubs at 3am he would never wanna go home, said he is fecked in the head those were his words, said he got him out of so much sh*t with the law, took the blame and cautions for loads of Caulkers sh*t, but he did say him and his pals owe Caulker for his England debut goal apparantly they all lumped on him scoring and he did.

But hey I guess we know most of the above anyway.

Well, I didn't know about the gambling but no surprise. He sounds like a real charmer does he not ? If his mates took some of the blame for his misdemeanors in addition to the ones he was arrested for then things are even worse than we thought. I'll be glad when he's just a dim and distant memory.

He was well known for gambling when he was with Swansea.
Charlie Austin loves a flutter, but hopefully he's got it under control.

And to think of all the platforms in the World that Caulkers train made its final stop at it had to be Shepard’s F*cking Bush!

We talk of the need for due diligence on those wanting to own a club but perhaps there needs to be the same for those wanting to play for a club too.

Just watched a sympathetic piece on him on ITV lunchtime news.

Apparently, Teatotal & Gambling free for a year.
Working hard to earn a new deal with someone since we released him ‘last Summer’ !

Pretty sure it was late December, so just wondering what else is inaccurate in their story ?

Probably will be repeated at 6 or later tonight.....

Didn't see the piece but I would have thought if he was really teetotal and all the rest of it he would have been in contention for a place with us. There have been sympathetic articles on him before.
