Terminally ill in a hospice in Cork. On loan with us in 2008/9. That’s changed my outlook on the day.

Very sad.

Although the bbc are reporting him as undergoing treatment for cancer, not being terminally ill. Hopefully, that is closer to the truth.

Terrible news. Hope it's not terminal and he can pull through.

He was a permanent signing wasn't he?

And there's tricky Trev in clink for suspected drinking and driving. One fighting for life and another doing his best to throw it away.

"He is also suspected of a public order offence and has been released while inquiries continue, police said."

Like others in/from football, I'm not sure Trev knows how lucky he's been in life.

"Football is the love of form. A spectacle that scarcely leaves a trace in the memory and does not enrich or impoverish knowledge. This is its appeal : it is exciting and empty." Mario Vargas Llosa
