Could this be the precursor to the Sky Midweek Championship League ?

Like the idea of streaming games however think it will hammer midweek crowds (especially away support)

Bye bye football. It was a pleasure whilst it lasted.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

So that is 600 Million spread over 5 years, 120 Million a year.

72 clubs that means if shared (unlikely) equally £1.67 Million each over the season.

The question then is what impact does having so many games being available to those willing to give Murdoch money, including going to the pub, have on attendances at the lower levels...

Only time will tell but I'm not sure it will be good overall.
This time we'll get it right - just believe!

Incentive the mid week matches. Get in for fiver. Season ticket holders get a free pie. And a rattle.
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

The midweek championship would be more of a worry.

I guess a lot will depend on who wins the next round of champs league rights, will there be a new digital entrant?
