2nd best team in the championship in 2017 (so far)
On the morning of 31st Dec, we were just 1 place above the relegation zone on 23pts. This is the points tally since then.
1) 29 HUDDS
2) 27 LEEDS, CARD, QPR
5) 26 NEWC
6) 25 FUL, PNE
8 ) 24 NOR
9) 23 BRIGHT
10) 22 SWEDS
11)21 READ, BRENT
13) 20 BLACK
14) 17 BARNS, WOLVES
16)16 AVILLA, BURTON, WIGAN
19) 15 NFORS
20) 14 DERBY, IPSW, BRISTOLC
23) 11 BIRHAM
24) 4 ROTH
So we have accumulated 27pts in the last 15 games. In the first 15 games we were on 19pts. Norwich were 4th on 27pts. So it's nice to know that in this tough league that we are now at playoff pace. We just need to maintain that throughout a whole season.

I put it down to what Ollie inherited & the visible lack of confidence / moral throughout the squad.
We had a bang average looking squad our best right back out on loan, CW being played on the wing, players out of position week in week out odd substitutions / formations a team scared stiff to enjoy there football, they were shackled every game by you know who.
It was always gonna take time for Ollie to get a tune out of the mess he had taken over & work out what was what, it's no surprise to me at all that he has started to get consistent results.
The thing that excites me the most at present is the competition for places & how hungry the players look to be involved.

As can be seen from people's choices for a starting eleven in any game there is a wide diversity of choices and every player is not even fit yet!

Glorious reading. If we'd replicated our last 15 games' form in our opening 23 matches, we'd be sitting pretty in 4th right now, just behind Leeds!beaglebum wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2017 6:43 pmOn the morning of 31st Dec, we were just 1 place above the relegation zone on 23pts. That's a pretty damning indictment of the lot of them!

'If only' is always interesting.
'If only' we had not lost six games in succession, after Ollie's first game. Just six points out of those 18 would have given us a chance of reaching sixth place. But, would the team's recent form - the success that Giorgio points to - have been the same had we not just responded to such a dismal spell?

It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

If only we had kept up the form of JFH's first six games this season, we'd be in auto promotion spot. If my aunt Betty had a dick she'd have been my uncle...

It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Your post is fine. It puts things into perpective. We're in a sticky patch but over all we are exactly there where a club of our stature should be. Any position above that should be seen as a bonus for QPR fans.
