Well done to him on getting a 3-year deal at his age. It makes sense that he'd go for that.
I will remember him very fondly and wish him well. _________________

He liked his song:
""The fans have been first class and I can't thank them enough for their support - and for making a song about me!" |

Over the last ten years or so I think we've been fortunate with a few decent keepers (Day, Camp, Royce, etc.) but Paddy Kenny was the right character at the right time, and played a massive part in some of my happiest moments as a QPR fan. And things I never thought I'd see us achieve.
As one of Warnock's main men on the pitch, he gave us the basis of the spine of the team. His distribution could be predictable, but even last year (save at home to van Persie anyone?) he held his own for the most part and played a key role. Was delighted, for instance, that he was part of the team that beat Chelsea.
Thanks Paddy, and all the best - even if it is at Leeds

I loved Warnock and loved Kenny, have to watch out that I don't get a soft spot for Leeds!
Still think that Kenny could have done a good job for us, not sure if Green is a massive improvement. We'll see. |

I remember meeting Paddy in a bar in Sheffield in early 2010 when I was visiting a friend up there. I can't remember what we talked about after I so brazenly went up to him ('alcohol') but I teased him about us looking to sign Speroni instead of him (as we were after a keeper at the time), but he was very complimentary about Warnock, and said he'd do a good job for us. Seemed a decent guy, was happy to entertain my want to chat even though in many visits to Bramall Lane in years gone past I'd been screaming all sorts at him for his usual piss-taking antics. Fast-forward 12 months, he had signed for us and was a key man in our charge on the title! _________________ @C1882 |

| Thanks for the memories Paddy and good luck - you were a massive part in getting our club into the Prem. Even though Leeds are a club I really dislike - I hope for his sake and Warnock's they do well next season. |

Genuinely wish him well, he deserves first team football.
Paddy, you will be missed. |
Same here SM but I thought he wasn't very good in the Premiership. Awesome in the Championship. _________________ "GOAL QPR!! Tommy Smith nets three minutes into stoppage time and the blue and white Premier League party has started!! Watford 0 QPR 2!!" |

However Paddy did a great job and I wish him luck and a long career. |
I'm with you. Parkes, Seaman...then Chris Woods and Peter Hucker |
Woods was awful while he was with us. So awful that TV replaced him with John Burridge! To be fair, he was a kid with a big reputation and big transfer fee so had a fair bit of pressure replacing Parkes (via Richardson). Clanger after clanger...
A nod to the unsung steady keepers too who never really let us down...
Nicky Johns, Simon Royce, Paul Jones and Alan Spratley! |

He was a bit inconsistent at the beginning, but once he had a settled back four infront of him he really stepped up.
Had he not saved that shot from RVP, I think our season would have taken a very different twist. _________________ Isle Of Wight R'ssssssssss |
