| Patriots and Packers had possibly the worst pass defences last year and didn't do badly. Then look at the Colts without Manning. I feel Denver will at worst reach divisional game again if Manning plays 16 games. |

Thanks for posting.
How do feel about Tebow going, were you a fan? How well is Peyton Manning going to do and for how long? How fearful does our secondary need to be? |
Not a fan of Tebow. He seems like a nice enough bloke though and wish him well.
Manning will do well, but we don't have a deep WR threat, and not the pass receiving TE's of the past, so if you take away the intermediate passes you could contain the passing game. That said the OL is solidifying nicely, some real talent there, so perhaps some of the more pedestrian WR's can get open deep.
The D is looking good this year, but the secondary is creaking and lacking real talent. |
Clearly Manning is a massive step-up in class from Tebow. Tebow could be a slippery customer with his running threat, but I think the Broncos realised that threat would be very short-lived once opponents worked him out. He was not good enough in the pocket and I'm surprised the Jets have taken him. Manning, however is a completely different proposition, he is possibly the best ever. Don't know how long he will remain at the top but whilst he is there the Raiders will have their work cut out.
The fact you believe he has no legitable targets is going to be difficult to overcome but if anyone can do it, it is Manning.
If you feel your secondary is weak, then that is great news for the Raiders, with our trackstar wideouts, all three of which are now benefiting from good experience.
We have 2 new cornerbacks ourselves, both quality veterans, but I am sure that is where Manning will look to exploit us. If your O-line is getting good and can keep Manning upright we could be in trouble.
The difference between us being successful and average is the fitness of McFadden, if he stays fit most of our opponents will be in trouble, that is of course, if our defense holds up! _________________ All or nothing! |

You may well be right and that is what I'm worried about, however I think the same could be said of McFadden if he plays 16 games. _________________ All or nothing! |

| Thomas will have a monster season. Definitely going to be a target in my fantasy draft. |

McFadden is immense, but fragile. He is one I steer clear of in the draft as often expensive, gets big numbers when fit but if he only plays ~10 games leaves big holes when out. |

Yes, big if. But one season it is going to happen, might be this one! _________________ All or nothing! |

Last year I grabbed Newton for $1 towards the end as a backup, although didn't start him until round three. I suspect his stock has risen since then. My strategy is to not go QB until 3rd/4th round. Then its a case of who is there and whether they offer value for that pick. If selectionis thin i will let them slide a few rounds. Auction draft is a little different, I go aggressive on a couple of targets and then try to buld a team round them.
Marquee RB is usually my first priority, so depending on my position it will be one of Rice, McCoy, Matthews, Foster, MJD. |

Interesting how fantasy and real football can be polar opposite. Just looked at an article on NFL network news and it listed the running backs in the player voted, top 100. There were 15 of them, and not one had played in a superbowl, let alone won one! _________________ All or nothing! |

| I'm a QPR fan from the US. I have lived in Washington, DC, for some time, but I'm originally from New Orleans and remain a New Orleans Saints fan and season ticket holder (although I only get down to 1-2 games/year). |

Thanks for posting MarkQPRinDC.
Wow, tough offseason for you guys. Do you feel you were dealt with too harshly? How well will you do this season? What can you tell me about coach Allen, obviously he was your secondary coach for a while up until recently? _________________ All or nothing! |

A marquee RB has not won the SB for as far as I can remember. Defence is the first thing, then QB in my opinion. Top offensive regular season teams often come unstuck against great defensive units come playoffs. Patriots lucky win vs Ravens being the exception |
