I don't think anyone apart from the three (or perhaps just two) of them know what really happened that night.
From what I've read, the girl accused both of raping her. Footage showed she willingly went with the first one (CCTV shows her walked arm in arm with him?) whereas CE obviously showed up later on in the evening, from there it's pretty much a guessing game. I do find it odd how she says that she has no recollection of the night, but still enough to prove him guilty?
You would hope that the correct decision has been made, but the Evans family/solicitor is pushing had for a re-trial and they're absolutely adamant he's innocent.
The victims supposed comments on Twitter from around the time it happened are very telling, if indeed it was her. The account has since been closed down.

Other guy rang Evans after seeing the girl drunk and said, we have got one, he also had sex with her, therefore he did EXACTLY what Evans did, what were the jury thinking............ |

It is ever British person's legal and inalienable right to be free to get completely and utterly paralytic without any worry about being exploited or assaulted.
Of course if you get crashed into while driving through a green light many insurance companies will deem you partly responsible and make you pay accordingly.
As for the Ched Evans case, my knowledge of it is too limited to pass any educated comment. |
