I never knew the gentleman but I am well aware of his contribution to the club. May he rest in peace and my condolences to those that were close to him.

I think the true testimony of the man was that although he was richer than most by no means was he mega rich and he ploughed a not inconsiderable amount of his hard earned fortune into QPR during our darkest days to help keep the club afloat for the benefit of us all and also to give us hope with the funding for the signings of players such as Danny Shittu and Doudou.

It is a shame that we now have owners who make Harold's wealth look like small change found down the back of the settee and all they have done forthe last two and a half years is to spend money to gratify themselves.

A sad sad day for QPR and a sad sad day for the Winton family. Rest in peace Harold and thanks for your help in ensuring that my kids have a football team to support.

Very sad news. I was there at the game where he came round the pitch and did the lap of honour didn't seem many people were aware of what he had done for our club. A lovely man who only wanted the best for Queens Park Rangers and was their in our time of need. Rest In Peace Harold may you look over us from heaven.
