new signings!

Post by Ironman442 » Fri Jan 02, 2009 12:12 pm

I think that we will be surprised with a foreign signing.

If i were Sousa, i would have come to the championship with future signings that i would want in the team or players that have been mentioned to him from his contacts and knowledge of the game.

Does anyone agree with me?

Well aside from the young Portuguese defensive midfielder we were linked with (Adrien?) I don't think we have been linked with any other players outside of the UK.

I'm not sure whether it is Sousa/GP that are tracking these players, but i wouldn't be surprised to see another player come in from across Europe.

Transfer Scoop!

Post by ZENITH R » Fri Jan 02, 2009 12:28 pm

I understand that Christiano Ronaldo is in Sir Alex's office right now pleading for a move to QPR, so he can work with his Countryman Paulo Sousa! Apparently he has a clause in his contract that says he can move to a club outside of the top flight (anywhere in Europe) for a million quid!

Bernie & Flav are writing the cheque, and the 'petulant one' will be going straight into the starting line up tomorrow V Burnley!

Surprise foreign signings? Now that's what I'm talking about .... The WORLD footballer of the year signing for the R's!

Remember, you heard it here first!
Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

I've just voted yes but that would mean I'm expecting it so then it wouldn't be a surprise.

My head hurts.

That master of the foreign purchase Arsene Wenger said the other day that he wouldn't be buying abroad at the moment due to the poor exchange rate between the pound and the euro. Over the last 18 months or so it will have had around a 50% upwards effect on prices and with clubs feeling the crunch a bit more could have an impact.
