QPRDOT.ORG Code of Conduct

Post by DG » Sun Feb 01, 2009 9:09 pm

It’s exactly two years since qprdot.org started and to make things clearer for all who choose to opt in to this message board, we have evolved a Code of Conduct which will apply to all posters on here from now on, whether new or existing members. The act of posting a message constitutes acceptance of this Code of Conduct. If you do not accept it, please do not post.

QPRDOT.ORG Code Of Conduct.
As part of Qprdot.org commitment to promote the following of QPR and be a great place to meet and interact with others around the world, you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct. Your commitment to these guidelines in all of your qprdot.org activities ensures a positive experience for all participants. Specific communities, chats, and other services may have additional guidelines which govern your use, so be sure to review them in addition to this code of conduct.

Decisions of moderators and administrators are final.
Any posts deemed offensive will be deleted or otherwise censored at the staff's discretion, with or without notice.
Malicious posts will be deleted without comment or justification.
Posts containing slanderous or otherwise disruptful messages will be removed.
Excessive coarse language will not be tolerated.
Spamming in any form will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, repeatedly posting the same or similar content or posting any identical message more than one time or in more than one forum.
Any abuses of the private messaging system will result in revocation of the user's privileges to use said system.
Multiple registrations are not permitted. One registration per user is allowed. Banned members are not allowed to re-register under a different name. Persons found violating registration rules will have all registrations removed.
Personal information is not to be given out about any individual without their permission.
Children under 13 years of old should seek parental consent before giving out personal information in public or private through the use of the message board.

Qprdot.org is not responsible for the content or activities in any user-created, non-qprdot.org managed communication service. We reserve the right to terminate your access to any qprdot.org service or delete content, without notice, found to be in violation of the code of conduct.

All activity on Qprdot.org (including all Qprdot.org communication services) is also governed by this qprdot.org Code of Conduct.

Be respectful
Please treat all other online participants with respect and do not use qprdot.org services to threaten, harass, stalk, or abuse other users.

Qprdot.org reserves the right to remove user-created services and content that advocate or encourage expressions of violence, bigotry, racism, hatred, obscenity, or profanity.
User-managers of this message board may, at will and without notice or justification, remove postings or ban participants that are deemed objectionable or that violate this code of conduct.
Impersonating a Qprdot.org employee, agent, manager, host, or another user is forbidden.

Do not use qprdot.org communication services to spam others. Spam includes sending identical and irrelevant or unsolicited submissions to many different users, and includes misrepresenting the source of anything you post. Spamming and scrolling in chat rooms are serious violations of online etiquette.

Qprdot.org communication services may be used to provide supplemental information regarding your own business (provided you do not spam to provide this information); however, the communication services are not designed to be used as the primary mechanism for operating your business or providing core information about your business. Any use of the communication services for commercial purposes is solely at your own risk and Qprdot.org has no liability for such use.

Know the Law
Qprdot.org does not allow behaviour or content related to illegal activities. You cannot use Qprdot.org to publish, post, distribute, or disseminate defamatory, infringing, obscene, or other unlawful material or discussion. This includes, but is not limited to, child pornography, bestiality, incest, illegal drugs, software piracy, and harassment.

You may not use Qprdot.org for the purpose of linking to external sites that violate this code of conduct.
Do not upload files or post messages that contain photos, music, software or other material protected by intellectual property laws, rights of privacy or publicity, or any other applicable law unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents. Qprdot.org is not responsible for any use of material posted by users.

Do not post or promote any materials that could harm or disrupt another user’s computer or would allow others to inappropriately access software or web sites.
In addition to upholding this code of conduct, you are responsible for adhering to all local and national laws that pertain to your location.

Be Responsible
Qprdot.org offers you the ability to access multiple communication services (e.g. chats, communities, member profiles, etc.). Qprdot.org takes no responsibility for the ratings, structure, or content in these areas. The creators or hosts of these user-created areas are required to agree to and uphold this code of conduct before creating their communication service and are liable for all activities and content. We encourage creators/managers to ban from their areas other members who frequently violate this code of conduct.

Qprdot.org communication services are not designed as the primary place to store any materials; you are responsible for creating backups of materials you post to any communication service such as photos, documents and software. Qprdot.org is not responsible for loss of, access to, deletion, alteration, or restoration of any materials associated with a communication service.

Protect Your Children, Privacy and Property
We caution you against giving out any personally identifiable information (such as social security number, credit card number, name, address, telephone number, driver’s license number, password, etc.) online. This information can easily be used for illegal or harmful purposes.

You are responsible for protecting your computer against interference or viruses that may be encountered on the Internet and via online communication services. We do not screen, backup, or restore user-created material stored within our communication services. We recommend you install a virus protection program on your computer and keep it up to date.

Banning Process
Users who contravene the Terms and Conditions/Code of Conduct will have their registrations reviewed under the following system:

Serious breaches – immediate and permanent removal of registration. (Straight Permanent Ban)

Less serious breaches – First breach will result in a 48 hour ban (Yellow Card). Yellow card status stays in place for 6 months. Second breach during this time will result in a second Yellow card which will constitute a Red card and a 1 month complete removal of registration. Further repeated breaches will result in a permanent ban. The decision of the moderators/administrators is final in this regard.

This board is used by many people, including children and many people whilst at work. These are welcomed warmly. There are controls including word censors in place to enable this situation to continue, and we intend to make sure that they are enforced.

The moderators moderate this board on behalf of all users but do it without payment and in their spare time. This means they may sometimes make mistakes but take their role seriously and without prejudice. Please understand that moderation is not always an easy task. Significant and controversial decisions are generally made by the moderators as a group rather than by any individual moderator.

The administrators and moderators will do their best to be even-handed and fair in all their decisions. However, the administrators/moderators decisions regarding warnings, yellow/red cards, bans and thread/post deletions are final.

Finally, everyone has opinions - most of them vary wildly. Nobody will be prevented from expressing their opinions as long as they are expressed without violating the above rules. Please make use of this board for what it is; a place for healthy discussion, a place to make new friends and a place to share a common love of our football club.

Thanks for following this code of conduct and joining Qprdot.org message board. We reserve the right to amend or change the code of conduct at any time.
