I take it back, De Wijs has been great so far.

Lovely cross from the much maligned Kane for the first goal. Jordy looks a real tough guy.
Nothing much going right for City - a bit like us a few months back.
Surely we can go on to three points here.

Johansen man of the match for us so far.
De Wijs was very good before going off and looks like an absolute unit.
We did excellent business in January.

With 5 subs these days it's possible to press for 90 minutes. I'd like to see us play like this every match
Good energetic play and very effective.

Well played Warbs and the team. Well prepared and well executed. Good that the new players like de Wijs, Field and Willock were integral to the win. Looking good for this season and next !

Well played! 11 points clear of the relegation zone now and right in the mid table mix.

Re: Match Thread: Bristol City v Queens Park Rangers FC
One of the best performances of the season today, here are my player ratings:
Dieng - Usual competent and assured self for what little he had to do
Dickie - Had his usual 8 out of 10 performance; one of our best signings in years
de Wijs - Good solid no nonsense display which is fine with me
Barbet - Had one of his better games buoyed by the general improvement
Kane - Another key assist, good energy. He's playing well I have to say
Johansen - Excellent match, crisp passing but not quite 90 mins match fit yet
Field - Played well snapping away in midfield, another approaching full match fitness
Wallace - Like Kane made the press work, good passing and support play
Willock - Good game from him, again good passing and pace when needed
Chair - Flourished in midfield with good passing & support, excellent run near the end
Austin - Quietish game from him but remember he's a catalyst of our get out of jail
Substitutes:
Bonne - Did the basics OK
Ball - Continued the good midfield performance
Thomas - Didn't do much in a short time
Kakay - Like Kane & Wallace performed OK
Adomah - For our best payed player his career's already over I fear
Good passing, the press, better energy, can't we do this every match for the rest of the season?

Been out in the garden all day mowing grass, and come in to another great result on the road
We must have as many points in the away column as the home one

They seem unstoppable at the moment. Would be the story of the season for me if they get promoted instead of that lot from Hounslow

I really liked the 3421 formation today. We looked much more creative and threatening in the final third with Willock and Chair playing as two no 10s behind Austin. I'd like to see it used more often.

Whilst Brizzle were poor and out of sorts today, the old saying holds good- you can only beat what's in front of you. We had a look about us today that suggested we'd have given most sides a game.
We have avoided starting another bad run which looked likely after the Barnsley match.
Three eminently winnable home games coming up. Let's crack on chaps.

Great team performance! Is it just me or did the Bristol City pitch look massive? 115 by 75 yards compared to our 112 by 72 yards, not much in it!
Feel some of our better performances have come on larger pitches and might well explain our home form...?
Johansen MOTM, tenacious and zippy with the passing really hope theres an option to make him permeant. We had some lovely passages of play, a shame Ball didn't finish off his long range effort towards the end great passing in the build up.
The team looks a lot more fluid with Chair and Willock in the team, you can see they enjoy playing with one another,a bit like how Chair, Eze and BOS liked to link up.
Hope we stick with that back three, Cameron makes me a little nervous bit of a liability of recent.
Imagine a fair bit of squad rotation for Tuesdays home game. Look forward to seeing what MW has in mind?

Well played the Rs; the result was fully deserved and you would have won even if City had had a good day.
Time to start looking at those play off places?

QPR are my second team - not many Bristol City fans can say that!
