January 2021 Transfer Thread
Doncaster Rovers would like to sign Joe Lumley on a permanent basis.
Joe’s contract runs out in the summer so the fee will be very small.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Thread
Lumley seems to be resurrecting his career there so I'm sure he'd want to join them. It would be wrong not to let him leave. Make sure there's a good sell on percentage clause in the deal, just in case.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Thread
...quite funny that every where he went on loan in the past the club received requests from those clubs to sign him permanently....
....so west London is the only place where he never showed all of his qualities so highly appreciated elsewhere...

To be fair, he's dropped down a level elsewhere. He's had the chance to prove he's championship quality on numerous occasions and failed to do so.

Apparently we are interested in Doncaster Rovers captain, midfielder Ben Whiteman.
With Lumley in the mix it could get interesting.

He seems to be able to play any CM role. Scored and made a few goals this season. The only downside is he's never played above division 1 level.

Rob Dickie hadn't either, but he seems to be doing OK (mostly).

Warburton wants 'one or two' to come in; a CB and a midfielder apparently: https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/war ... ow-for-qpr

'd like us to extend Shodipo's deal again.
I've seen mention of BOS to Brentford for 3m or Brugge being back in. I don't think i've sound plausible. A palace supporting mate has heard they might go in for him.
I'd be happy for us to drop the fee to get a decent sell-on clause or see if we can work out a deal if that midfielder is up to it.

That's not strictly true. He looked good when he took over from Ingram, he just wasn't suited to the way MW wants to play and his confidence nose-dived in no small part by our fans being on his back constantly which is about as self-defeating as you can get.deadendjob wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 5:57 pmTo be fair, he's dropped down a level elsewhere. Suggests he might be looking to keep the 532 as i don't imagine he's looking to replace Barbet or Dickie. If BOS is off then it makes a little more sense but it doesn't bode well for Masterson if he's not in the frame.dm wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 2:05 pmWarburton wants 'one or two' to come in; a CB and a midfielder apparently: https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/war ... ow-for-qpr

Re: January 2021 Transfer Thread
Warburton wants Masterson out on loan for the rest of the season so he can develop his game. Bringing in CB, perhaps on loan or on a short term contract, would enable that.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Thread
I think that is a decent plan but i wouldn't make a CB a priority on that basis. A dynamic CM is though, for sure.
