Blackburn Prediction

Post by 222gers » Fri Nov 06, 2020 3:15 pm

Can our lads win three on the bounce ? Certainly non-QPR, but they suddenly look very composed and confident. Playing out from the back no longer the nerve wracking excercise that it once was.
I fancy us to edge it 1-0.

Ewood Park is not a happy hunting ground for us. I can honestly not remember our last win

1-1

Would love a third win but happy to come out with any positive result - they have shown they can take teams apart despite a couple of low key results recently.

I think it will all hinge on if we can get an early goal today. We've been on top to start but not scoring and then getting out of jail. I can't see that happening against a Tony Mowbray team if we fall behind.

Blackburn have, I'm told, a lengthy injury list. I seem to remember a fixture last season or the season before when the opposition were saying they could barely find eleven fit men such were their injuries. Typically when the game started they were all over us. Was it Middlesborough ? Anyway, I stick by my 1-0 to us.

We've dropped BOS for Ball. Is he injured I wonder?

I'm going for 2-2.

BOS came off injured with a groin problem - and what a surprise, Blackburn's supposed absentees pretty much all available.

Our line up seems to place quite a heavy reliance on Dykes, Chair and Adomah - presuming Carroll will play as a 10 and we will need runners for his passing - expect Kane and Hamalainen to be quite attacking.

Playing both Cameron and Ball always seems a bit defensive to me, and Carroll doesn't really look comfortable in the three behind a lone striker. I'm suprised Willock didn't get a start with BOS absent. Maybe after last week, Ball will play as the 10

He really looks the business so far, doesn't he? Suspect we're going to need him today based on the last few minutes.

Two outstanding saves so far.

Blackburn look very quick and direct, we are defending well just hope we can be more of a threat second half.

To me they just looked better than us. I can see them in the top 6. We didn't seem to be as strong or quick or pass the ball as well.
