Having a medical by all accounts - could be a more solid defence.
Lumley/Dieng, Kakay/Kane, Dickie, Barbet/Masterson, Manning/Wallace. Looks better.

Yep, if it's true then 1st rate from the Club,

we know how Oxford FC supporters must be feeling if reports are true re his capabilities....

Kelly?

Dickie would be an Impressive signing, got Mackie to thanks for this one. If the club holds on to BOS and Manning with a few shrewd loan signings looks like an improved team.

Can’t say I’ve seen him play, but everything I’ve read about him is extremely positive.

You only have to look at the number (and division) of the clubs that wanted him to see how highly rated he is. Let’s hope we get this one over the line! :D

Phew! Very pleased to see this signing completed, it certainly boosts my confidence levels for the forthcoming season.

If only we had been making these sort of signings when Fernandes first came to the club. It's really not that difficult is it to look at the leagues below and run the rule over other club captains and players of the season.

Welcome Rob.

Seems Jamie Mackie deserves some credit for getting this player in.

Been saying this for months now, had we this layer of management at the club 6 years ago, we'd still be in the
Premiership and thriving at that.

It was the 'stars in their eyes' syndrome ... look at them Bosingwa, Park, Cisse, they have won the Champions League you know, they could do that for us too. That Joey Barton has played for Newcastle in the Premier League, and SWP for Man City and Chelski, Wow they must be good, sign them up. They want how much a week in wages? Oh well, it will be worth it the end.

There are those who are only to ready to have a pop at Les Ferdinand and Lee Hoos, but I see us moving in the right direction, making generally good decisions and getting stronger every year. Its just a pity it will take a while to recover from the recklessness of the Fernandes years with Hughes and Harry at the helm.

Does anyone know what the ‘undisclosed fee’ was for Dickie? I know it’s 1mil + but exactly how much more?

A subtle nuance to the new way of doing things appears to be a four year, rather than a three year contract offer. BOS & Manning may have played some part in that thinking.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Journo Dave McIntyre, who is usually pretty accurate, reports that it's up to £1.8m. It would be safe to assume there are a number of conditional add-ons to bring it up to that figure.

Sounds reasonable. Heard 2.5-3.5m quoted in early reports. Really pleased with this one. Was a shame to miss out on Goode but Dickie has done all that Goode has (other than promotion) but at league 1 level instead of 2. Looking forward to getting the season underway.
