WLS reporting a £4.7m move to Bruges. With one year left on his contract, we were clearly not going to get the full ticket price.

What did we buy him for from Blackpool?

I know everyone loses their minds when we sell a player for less than £25m but we should remember that if the reported fee for BOS is correct, then the club will have made a significant profit on his time with us.

Same for Freeman and Smithies in previous years.

Apparently it is a done deal. He will not feature tomorrow

If selling BOS will steady the ship financially for next season, it fine with me to let him go

I am sure this is how the QPR business will be run in the years to in the coming years so let’s get used to it

Absolutely - we lifted him for about £1m, and though he has been amazing to watch this season, he's not signed a new contract and we could have lost him for nothing in 12 months time. Good luck to him, he has given me some great times this season, including his last contribution to set Ball up for the equaliser against Luton.

Possibly not, but what's the rush to sell him ? It does feel as if we bite the hand off the first bidder to come in.

Playing in the Champions League may have been a factor for him.

Well, I expected us to get considerably more for Bright. Yes, there's the relatively short time left on his contract as a factor but when you think of the blistering form he was in up to lockdown it's extremely disappointing. We never seem to get a really good fee.

Good business if true. Good luck BOS.

If the price is correct, seems decent business on what we laid out on him....

As ever we're underselling according to the fans who play championship manager on a regular basis....

Our last two players who went for some significant money (Smithies and Freeman) have hardly set the world on fire since leaving us but we undersold them apparently.....

A player is only worth what a buyer will pay.... and isn't this a second offer?

He obviously isn't going to sign a new contract, so let's get some money in the bank, any other more saleable items wont then hopefully go for a song ....
2020/2021.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

I do wonder if it's a matter of trying to get money in quickly so we know what we have to spend at the start of the next window. I at least hope that's the case as it seems far too early to be flicking players.

I'm pretty sure it was for a lot less than that. Done a quick google and the fee was undisclosed (transfermarkt indicates €100,000), but he was 19, had come through from the Blackpool in who had just been promoted to League 1. Given we had tightened the belt massively that season (2017), it was a great bit of business by Ollie.

...and he has progressed from a "runner" into a "football player" in these years...hope that our scouts can find another one cos that is the kind
of player that I like....fast on the wing and cutting in....so hard to stop and able to create chances.

Shodipo perhaps? Seems to be getting over his injury issues and is clearly rated by the club.
