We'll have to lie about our age. My Dad lied about his height to get in the army.

And yet, I heard on the news today that flights are still arriving from Iran, one of the most affected countries. Can this be true? What about people with health conditions? Sounds half-baked to me.

They're saying that even if just one team is affected by the virus it would make completing the season “ very difficult”

If they abandon this season the authorities could have the chance to slap a points deduction on Derby and Sheff Wednesday, because it would have no effect.

Let's face it, it's becoming more likely by the day that games will have to be played behind closed doors to get the season completed. If so, that's going to cause financial difficulties for most clubs.

Would we get some money back for our season tickets?

I wouldn't wish to claim any money back in these circumstances, it's not the clubs fault. We've already paid the money pre-season so there's no additional cost to us.

But equally it’s not our fault either and we’re the customer. I don’t see why fans should shoulder the burden for unforeseen circumstances. I’m not sure the club would want that either, because then we may as well buy on the door so we don’t bear the risk of cancelled games in future seasons.

We've had to deal with patchouli oil, Watney's red barrel and Margaret bloody Thatcher. Cut us some slack.

And Telfer's pies, Englebert humperdinck, the Austin 1100 and Whitbread Tankard.
