Post by Systemsguy » Mon Aug 19, 2019 7:59 am

I know it should be filed under old business but couldn't resist this link....

My son was a lot younger but still remembers that season with such joy....

Me?
Reminds me of falling in love with Rangers cos of Stan....

Nice one system, i second all of what was said.

Older generations had there Bowles marsh etc, Adel was my wow player.

Doubt I’ll ever see a season or player like that back in 2010/11, the talent the lad had was scary, tragedy he’s never fulfilled it fully.

I always look at it from the opposite angle; if he HAD fulfilled his potential we would never have had three seasons of him in a hooped shirt.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

I was thinking more of when he left Qpr, I mean he was only 20 when he signed for us on loan, he’s been a pro for 13yrs & managed 171 starts, so that’s 13 starts per calendar year..

That is so sad for a lad so talented.

Seems to have turned a little bit of a corner in the last 6 months although still under achieving IMO.

Made his 1st team debut for Benfica in Feb after being there nearly 4 years! Was on the bench Saturday and came on for last few mins, but has signed a new contract to keep him there until 2022. Took a 30% pay cut.
