Team vs Huddersfield

Post by Danish Ranger » Fri Aug 09, 2019 9:13 am

I expect an unchanged side for the game tomorrow - never change a winning team !

Dom Ball will be on the bench along with Kane and probably Wells

I think Cameron, Hall and Barbet will be the key to succes this season. They were instrumental at Stoke and if they can stay fit, we could be in for a pleasant surprise, provided Hugill, Wells, Eze and Mlakar can score the necessary goals

1-1 draw tomorrow

I'm going 3-0 to the R's.

Like the positivity......we now have options to mix it up on the bench with Kane, Ball and Wells....

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ball instead of Scowen as he had a poor game last game according to reports....

I going for a 2 - 0 as we need our cave back (to quote an old manager).

Looking forward to tomorrow
2019/2020.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

Unchanged side for me too and a 2-1 win with Hugill and Scowen scoring.

Think the atmosphere will be good tomorrow and our home form can only be an improvement after last season's record number of defeats.

Gotta be unchanged, Huddersfield lost Moy yesterday which is a big bonus they looked nothing special the other night against Derby, I’ll be disappointed if we don’t get atleast a point.

3-1 or 3-2

Eze double

An unchanged side would send the right signals, though like others I would take Scowen out as he had a poor game last Saturday. I can't see Ball replacing Scowen though as Scowen was playing in the 3. I'd likely expect someone like Pugh to come in.

...looking at how some clubs relegated from the Premier have struggled in the past - Sunderland and Stoke two examples - I wonder if
H'field might be in that spot too....enough to say that last Sat all the three that came down - Fulham, H'field and Cardiff - lost....

...tomorrow I would go for a 2-0 for the Rs...

I wouldn't change a winning team and i think that will be MW's attitude, although i expect he'll want to get Kane in the side sooner rather than later. As covered, Pugh in for Scowen might be one possible change, although it's nice to have some creative players on the bench who can make an impact too.

Dropping Scowen wouldn't be sending out a great signal would it - one poor game and you're benched?

Exactly this! he should be allowed to make up for his poor game, if it turns out to be a drop in form then rest him, but not after just one game.

I like Josh and overall he's played well since being moved further up the pitch. Definitely shouldn't be replaced tomorrow.

Obviously Goss is a shoo-in and we can build the team around him.
Seriously, surely it'll be an unchanged side from the Stoke game and a 1-0 win for the Rangers.

Bit early to be changing the team around although if there are any knocks, it would make sense to be fully fit players starting.

Nice to have the options coming off the bench, and players like Wallace and Kane still to come in.

If I had to gamble 10p on it I think that barring injuries it will be the same starting line up as Stoke and then fairly wholesale changes for the cup game.

Think Scowen's presence in that 3 helps with the pressing high when out of possession.

Looking forward to seeing how the team do this week with home advantage.
