Smith leaves - the old one

Apparently going to Milwall.

Has any side ever brought and sold two players with the same name in the same day before ?

I was thinking the same thing.

My sources tell me an announcement about a new club doctor is imminent.
Are headphones getting bigger, or are idiots getting smaller ?

According to a few sources online our old Smith the big lump of a striker is actually Mathieu Smith.. his mother is French.

How true that is I don’t know but that would be a different name to the Matthew Smith that we’ve just signed.

Really sad to see Matt Smith leave. A better player than many give him credit for with a decent goal-scoring record.

I think he’s a great signing for Millwall.

And of course, we could be in a relegation battle with Millwall.

Come on SM! He is not a very good player. He’s slow, his touch is poor and he’s hardly one to control a game.

However, he has a massive presence and strikes fear into a defence when chasing a game.

Be honest, did you ever see his name on a starting line up and jump for joy at the thought of the style of game we were going to play??

Good luck and thank you to Matt: overall a decent player for us who gave us his best efforts when called upon, especially last season when he outperformed Hemed and Wells IMO.

I would think it's similar to the Luongo situation where he's on half decent money and entering the last year of his contract.
