I suspect we may see both Ingram and Dieng go. Ingram won't want to spend another season on the bench particularly with another experienced keeper coming in. That's assuming Lumley isn't off which would be strange and disappointing.

I'd be very happy with the two expected signings, especially if the fees involved are to be true. 50k for a keeper who's a fans favourite and just got an Scotland call up sounds too good to be true.Slight shame Lumley might get replaced as I thought he could develop further.Lee Wallace could be a shrewd signing, Warburton obviously trusts him to come in and do a good job and its the type of experienced player the young lads could learn from. Be interested to compare his wages to Bidwell.

Ay decent Scottish strikers out there ? Hope Warburton hasn't worked with Maccormack heard he's just got released by Villa.

We'll need to bring in some experienced players for sure, but at almost 32, Wallace has never played anywhere other than in Scotland, and more worryingly, has managed 9 appearances in the last 2 seasons. The best you can say is Warburton knows him, and he'll be cheap.

Wallace will be an interesting signing. If he isn't a Championship level player then questions will be asked of Warburton almost immediately.

He's mainly not played due to falling out with the Rangers hierachy. Rangers fans rate him, he was their captain, Warburton must rate him and he'd be on low wages. As long as he's not given a long contract then it would be a good signing.

Slight concern about the falling out and also his injury history but also agree that Warburton obviously has a decent idea what he's getting and i assume the price is right. I'd like to see Manning make that position his but it's a gamble and we may need him in the middle of the park. With the MW factor it seems like a decent move. Same with a keeper at 50k it seems a decent punt. Ingram seems shot so might be best if we can move him on. I hope we can keep Dieng and get him back out on loan.

Apparently, if we sign Lee Wallace we'd be required to take another along with him.

That's as bad as my suggestion last year that we should sign Hardy and Willis to play alongside Freeman !

He was injured for virtually the whole of the 2017-18 season, and even when he eventually was fit last year, Gerrard said he had better options at left back. Rangers fans love him because he was one of the few to stay when the club went into liquidation and had to start again in the bottom tier of Scottish football.

I bet you were chuffed when we signed Richard Dunne weren't you?

Great comparison.

Dunne was good for us. He'd also played almost his whole career in the Premier League before dropping down a division to join us, so his ability to perform at our level was somewhat less open to question.

You can take a gamble on a player's fitness or his ability, but doing both should probably give you pause for thought.

Comes down to the individual player and their approach. We've seen a good number of players at Loftus Road who have played high level but, not really done themselves justice in the Hoops, despite prior reputation.

Perhaps give the players a chance and judge them on what they do in the Hoops?
