Wheeler and Kakay don't make the Austria squad either.

Oteh, Hamalainen, Rowan, Owens and Walker are all in the squad but I'd expect most if not all would go out on loan if suitable clubs can be found.

Hamalainen has been in LA until end of June, so this might be the first time MW really gets a look at him.
wonder if there are plans in place for Wheeler and Kakay. I guess Kakay must be third in line now that Rangel has renewed.

Was thinking that Kakay might get a long loan somewhere as we have done with Eze and Chair but, seems like these boys might be surplus to requirements as I am sure that MW will be using this tour to get a good look at his options.

I imagine a lot of them will be loaned out, we seem to have an awful lot of players on the books, with hopefully another couple (strikers), coming in.
I should think Hall is the last one on highish wages but the wage bill in total must still be above what the club can manage with the dreaded Profit & Sustainability rules in place.

From what I gathered from Les Ferdinand's interview, our current wage bill is around £20.5m.

I recall reading somewhere, that last season our total was around 33 million a year that quite a big decrease from the 20.5 stated by dm

As dictated by FFP in order to prevent us from getting into grief again.

I believe we are in the lowest handful of teams in terms of budget in this league

Paladini has a lot to answer for.

Why? Jim Gregory sold the club.

That didn't piss the FL off though did it?

Going by this, seems you would be about right. (THere's 23 teams. Bolton is missing, and they'd be low, I assume)

Same guy has a table for the previous year, and according to that the wage bill was unchanged at 31 million (season before last) and we slipped in the rankings from 7th highest wage bill to 13th-highest (maybe 14th), but I can't see us being overtaken by, say, preston.

and lower running costs which FFP doesn't take in to consideration.

Brentford, Charlton and Millwall are all London clubs too. Why would their running costs be lower than ours ?
