ALEX Baptiste, Jake Bidwell, Jordan Cousins, Joel Lynch and Pawel Wszolek will all depart QPR when their contracts expire in June

I presume that their salaries are a factor in this.

A shame we couldn't get even a tiny fee for either of them.

Risky getting rid of Bidwell and not one I would have released unless we have a ready made replacement lined up.

Manning hasn't been tested against any of the League 's better right midfielders/wingers yet and Hamaleinen seems not to be on the radar.

I'd have liked to have seen Bidwell kept myself.
Come on you Sooopa ........

I am pretty sure his contract is up too but no mention of him yet.

I expect the club to try and offload Ingram, Goss and Wheeler, if not by transfer by season long loans.

It'll be interesting to see what the club wants to do with Kakay, Oteh and Hamalainen. I don't think they're ready for Championship football so maybe loans out for them too.

I'd imagine with no mention of Hall, that's a sign we are trying to work some sort of deal out to keep him.

I'd imagine Ingram will still be our second choice keeper. Goss i suspect will be loaned out, Wheeler probably but they might take a look pre-season.

Agreed on the other 3. At this rate Kakay might have to be used as cover and Oteh is one of only two strikers at the club (although i'm not sure he isn't another winger / striker tweener). But i don't think either are ready and Oteh's loan isn't inspiring. Same for Hämäläinen.

I wonder if Mark Warburton was involved in the decisions regarding these players?

Personally I doubt it but assume he would have been told before putting pen to paper.

Although we expected as much, it does suddenly feel the team is very lightweight. It felt much the same when Onuoha, Mackie and Perch left last season and look how badly we started this season until the loanees arrived. I'm glad Rangel is being offered another contract and I hope he accepts. Most seasons we have a defensive injury crisis at some point and each player we are releasing is either a defender or has filled in at right back on occasions. So I'm a little uneasy about releasing them all as we don't have strength in depth.

Apart from Pav I won't miss any of the others but I agree that the defence in particular needs strengthening. Hopefully we already have some signing lined up.

Bidwell was pretty solid if unspectacular, decent LBs can be hard to replace i can see why the club might have fancied not having to worry about that but if the money isn't there. We're very light at the back, missing a holding midfielder and don't have a starting striker.

Yep, at this point I reckon we'll need to bring in at least 6 players - a CB, a LB, two CMs, and two strikers.
