Possible signings

Post by Devonranger » Sat May 11, 2019 7:08 pm

I was just having a scour of the released/out of contract lists and wondered if anyone had seen players worth picking up.

Gregory at Millwall was someone I thought might be someone that would complement what we have with the likes of Smith, Oteh and Smyth?

We considered signing Gregory a couple of years ago, and should have done so then. He's a tough nut and difficult striker for defences to handle. He would have been a good player for us. I'm surprised Millwall would want to let him go.

Connor Washington released by Sheffield United - in true QPR fashion we should give him a second chance

As you say, he would have been a good signing 2-3 years ago. He's out of contract now, and off to Stoke by all accounts.

Martin Crainie too. Long time since he was here but he was good. Is he still?

If we are going to get players back that used to play for us, can we have Sylla & Chery back?

I've not heard anything of Chery since he left. Apart from improving his bank balance does anyone know how he's been getting on in China?

Odubajo rumoured to be heading to Stoke. IMO Bridcutt is woefully short on pace, despite being a technically very tidy player, and I can't seeing him suiting MW's style of play. I would rather have Cousins.

Mr Warburton may yet get a tune out of these players that previous managers haven't .

Cousins has been a terrible signing and it would be a very poor decision to keep him. Get rid.

You forgot to put "in your opinion". After he was given a run in the side he looked more like the Jordan Cousins we saw at Charlton, and played well in a bad side.

Cousins did come back Esox, yes. But the fact that he wasn't getting in the team at the end when we had all our central midfielders available and Freeman on the bench speaks volumes. IMHO he hasn't progressed while he's been with us and for that reason alone he should go.
Come on you Sooopa ........

A few good games as he was coming to the end of a 3 year contract where, IMO< he has been mostly useless. All a bit Joel Lynchy for me. IMO.
