Needs to be confirmed as it could be Sky trying to reignite the betting market on behalf of their close friends Skybet but if its true then its a decent enough appointment and a better option than the likes of Sherwood or Darren Moore etc. Would prefer Ainsworth though.

Doubt he will have enough dough to be a success .
Crumbs, Arrystotle, I think they missed that one!
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

For younger readers refer to the above "gentleman".
Warburton? Underwhelming appointment for me, but I'll give him a chance.

If keeping Eustace, then good. Don't like it when managers come in and try to change the whole staff.

David Weir was assistant manager to Warburton at Forest, Rangers and Brentford, so I would imagine he may well come on board. Maybe Eustace will remain as first team coach.

That would mean a demotion for Eustace. Weir is currently employed at Brighton.

Warburton is 56, Weir 48 whilst Eustace is 39. Seems logical to me to have someone younger around working with the younger players. Like Jimjams I don't like the wholesale changes a new manger usually brings.

People may not like it, but the reality is most managers have one or more people that they know and trust and therefore tend to bring with them when they move to a new club.

I'm a bit baffled by the love-in with Eustace anyway. He barely got a mention until about 5 weeks ago, and he's hardly set the place alight as manager.

When I saw the team for Sheffield Wednesday I did think WTF and expected a sound beating. Silly me.

For me there is something there and something worth keeping.

I don't have strong positive or negative feelings about Warburton, but I like the idea of keeping Eustace on. We are not the position to bring in a superstar Manager/Coach and provide him with a blank check to turn the team around. Whoever comes in as manager has to adapt to the club's business plan (don't spend any money and develop from the youth team). If Eustace is part of the Hoos/Ferdinand go-forward plan, they should reject any manager that can't work within those constraints. If they don't, we are back on the cult of the manager treadmill, with a good likelihood the new manager, staff and ideology will be gone if 12 months.

Hmm, lets see...

David Wagner - proven up and coming coach, unlucky at Huddersfield
Adi Hütter at E. Frankfurt having a good season, sure to have new ideas and only 49
Graeme Jones - who I know is at Luton, again 49 and bound to have fresh ideas and by the
way why aren't we pilfering the Luton/Brentford template? Perhaps Warburton can do that since
he was at Griffin Park.

Also heard Tim Krull @ Norwich talks about the extra training that Daniel Farke demands. Yes, I do like the Austrian/German
approach, but watching 11 home defeats and the disgusting lethargic performances, that's an obvious requirement going forward.
Remember the 1st half at Carrow Road? They looked Premiership standard we resembled a pub side!

I realize I'm penning this after seeing Liverpool do the impossible against Barça, but they had energy and pressing,
it can work even in the Championship.

Two of those three are leagues above our current level, and Jones has no managerial experience at all so would be a massive gamble.

If we are being unrealistic I'd go for Klopp after what he's achieved tonight.
