BBC are reporting that SD has left the First team trainer role at Oxford United to pursue 'other opportunities'. Bearing in mind he was at the QPR Golf Day last week is he joining us in some capacity or am I just adding 2+2 together ?

Ainsworth's name for our new manager seems to be enjoying a surge so maybe Derry as assistant?

Interesting.

There could be something in it, but I don’t believe we’re close to making an appointment yet, so the timing does appear a bit off?

He's Les Ferdinand's new caddy, a job he'll share with the other 20+ ex-players at the Golf Day.

You heard it here first.

This wouldn't disappoint me. A little bit of a no nonsense duo. Also the right sort of people to motivate the squad.

Would be over the moon with that. Can't really think of anything better and genuinely realistic.

Perhaps more to this than just journalists linking individuals to the job.
