Given the current state the club is in, and will be for the foreseeable future, I cannot imagine a manager capable of improving us would want the job. We'll have to stick with SMc.
I really disagree with this 'he's the best we can get and no-one else would want the job' kind of thing. Just not correct IMO.
Genuine question. Who do you think will be much better, and will want to come into a club who are already sailing very close to the FFP limit and are about to lose its parachute payments?

So to sum up no we cannot be any worse off with a change of manager.

And yet every time we've changed the manager we are worse off.
This^^^.
I was discussing this last night outside after the game and between six of us not one could think of a time where we have sacked a manager and went on a winning run. We have, however, had new managers that went on losing runs and the fans claim it was because of what he had to work with, which begs the question; if it is the materials then why are we getting rid of the craftsman?
Are we heading back to the days of the QPR Calendar having a different manager for each month? They were such joyous times IIRC.
It's about making the right appointment. Unfortunately we had two poor managers who used up the dosh after relegation. Twice NW improved results immediately. His reward - a kick in the ctroch. Twice.

This is all academic, if we are in this state and still sailing close to the FFP limit is there any hope for the club.

I cannot believe that people on this board are suggesting we sack Saint Steve , clearly the best manager in the clubs history, i am truly upset by all this and would suggest he is given a rise and a four year extension to his contract . I would be willing to bet he will get another win from the team before the season ends .

Are you here all week, and are there any tickets left?

Unfortunately McLaren looks like he has given up, and the players seem to have followed his example. Maybe give Ramsey till the summer, and see if he can inject some short term urgency into this team.

I think you need to look up "irony" John, but I'm surprised that you're back here given then there's no hope.

I'd definitely consider Ainsworth and the brothers at Lincoln are clearly on the up: also Jackett if Portsmouth don't get promoted this season. All would surely consider the job with us and would be prepared to work with what we have.

Astonishingly I've vouched for his remaining.

For me a last straw was against Stoke... 80 minutes against 10 men & totally ineffective.
so it's up to him to extricate us from this ...
