Villa maybe. Cardiff - can't see that. Hope not.

That’s a fair change from Villa trying to sign Chris Mepham from Brentford during the window. Willing to part with £15 million for him....

I don’t think he’s irreplaceable. Solid enough, but can be very irratic and he almost as inconsistent as Lynch. Shouldn’t be too hard to replace.

Wasn't that the general feeling when Les Ferdinand was sold? Just pop back into non league and get another one.

If our scouting network is all it's cracked up to be we should be able to replace him at a reasonable cost. As far as I'm aware we can't really afford to turn down offers like that for players, especially those picked up for nothing a year earlier. A good deal imo, and whilst I like the BFG mk II, he's no Les Ferdinand.

I think he has been monumental in defence this season. When he hasn't played, we have been struggling even more. It's been quite a while since we have had a rock like him in defence. I think, at our level, with our budget, he will be very hard to replace.

Yes he's had a good first season with us and we would miss him if he was sold: much better captain than his predecessor too. But if selling him means we keep Freeman.....

Seconded.

In the vastly over inflated market for half decent championship players and with the restrictions that FFP places on us replacing Leistner with someone of equal quality would be very difficult.

Joel Lynch cost £1.2m with add ons three years ago. Today someone of his ilk would very likely cost double or even treble that and most of us don't feel Lynch is good enough.

We should try to keep Toni and Luke. The latter will be very hard to hang on to (As we all know). Some people said we'd miss Onuoa - we didn't because Toni is a lot better.
