One in one out......

Post by guyrob07 » Fri Jan 04, 2019 1:26 pm

With the news of Sylla leaving does this now free up funds for a new signing?

I’m guessing it would still need to be a loan/free

Where do we strengthen if we can?

Key question: between to being in a forward in case one of our top two get recalled, or a midfielder to replace Luongo while he is away?

I don't think we can just ignore the transfer embargo. Might cause us some issues.

Wasn’t aware we couldn’t bring in loans?

How were we able to bring in our new strikers if that is the case?

The embargo kicked in for the January transfer window.

Apparently we can sign first team players under limited circumstances during the embargo:

“The rules state that the Hoops are able to bring in a new senior signing if they're replacing an outgoing player.

This would mean that any new arrival would need to arrive on a free transfer, and could not be paid more than £600,000 per year (£11,500 per week), or be paid a salary of more than 75% of the player which he's replacing.

QPR would also be unable to pay any fees to agents or other intermediaries as part of any deal.”

The next six months are going to be interesting for sure.

A stack of players out of contract and our parachute payments ending.
