How do some people know the players contract situations so well??
Have trouble at times remembering my own things.
None of us is privy to the negotiations that go on behind the scenes. If a club coming in for a player is really keen they may offer various blandishments. In the case of Sylla, I guess we're just glad to get him off the books. Nothing against him really, but neither Holloway nor McClaren seemed to think he was the kipper's knickers. Another wage saved.
That list of nine players a few posts back seemed quite definite?? or is it all smoke and mirrors?
Length of contract is fairly common knowledge but what players, agents and putative buyers discuss remains confidential.

Haha my brain doesn't have the capacity for that sort of knowledge, it tends to prioritise what knowledge it hangs on to!

I always liked Sylla more than most and thought we should have been working to get the best out of him as he had an ok eye for goal and could play with his back to it, i also didn't think he was as lazy on the pitch as many did. However, now two managers haven't fancied him but his old club want him back. It's all very strange, i wonder if he just couldn't settle.
Sylla was horrible to watch on the pitch, he seemed to lack a yard of pace and effort too.

BBC says undisclosed fee, which implies there is a fee. Given that we paid a fair amount for him and he has scored a fair few goals on a good league, would be very strange to let him go for nothing.
