I did say Hull were not to be underestimated.
Indeed Hull are a team in form. Our defence has struggled of late and although we have goals in us we don't have 3's and 4's.

Overall still doing far better than we ever expected in August, onwards and upwards.

This could easily have ended 5-5.
7 goals conceded in the last 3 matches is a bit concerning. Luckily we have goals in our side now to give a fighting chance every match.
Best place to get back on track now is Elland Road!

That was a poor performance all over the pitch

Hull closed down our midfield and we were unable to play quickly or accurately enough to create good opportunities in the final third.

As for our defence, it's deteriorated alarmingly since being the Wall in October.

SMc has work to do.

Never thought otherwise TBH. Need a big nasty sod in the middle of defence. Hemed, Wells and Eze are going to have to up their goal contributions as well. Can't rely on Freeman and Pav all the time. I trust SMc to sort these things out.

A bad day at the office I think, nothing systemically wrong, although the concentrations levels seem a bit down, especially in defence - Hull's 2nd two goals were very poorly defended.

A shout out too for the ref, who was diabolical and as poor an official as I can remember seeing down there for quite some time, indecisive and inconsistent in equal measure, and only four minutes added on with all Hull's time wasting, stoppages for feigned injury, substitutions and goals - "Fergie" time in reverse.
If drink isn't the answer, you were asked the wrong question

Indeed a bad day. We took ages to get going and even then nobody really had a good game. Hull were more capable and deserved to win despite being looked upon favourably by that awful ref.
A tough run of games coming up we need to improve on today's effort. Pretty low crowd too considering our recent successful run of form. What a miserable afternoon.

...pretty poor today to be honest... our usual fantasy players - Eze and Wells - did not perform to their usual standard.
We lost possession too easily and they were faster and more hungry for the points...

First half their keeper made a couple of very good saves and we hit the post....second half not much to remember..

..and what is happening to our defense...?? No more clean sheets....conceding 2 goals or more every match....

Yep agree that it was a bad day at the office.

This team though has given me the belief that they will keep pushing till the end and they done that. Nearly nicking a point.

Hull were good on the break and I think a lot of us (me included) have got a bit carried away lately.

The positive part of me says we are outperforming where I thought we would be at the end of August. The negative me says that is only 2 points from 9 and we have two very tough game coming!!

Agree with all of the above really. Didn't really have any spark and looked a lot less hungry than Hull who went about the game with much more verve. We should have been quicker in defence for two of their goals and I felt we should have gone two up front and then three at the back much earlier. McClaren seemed to dither when firstly Hemed, then Smith and then BOS should have been brought on earlier. And we should have gone three at the back a lot earlier because Hull didn't really have too much up front and we have seen before that we can cope with three at the back. Also Cameron for me, was very poor, giving the ball away on many occasions and only looking good when he was recovering his mistakes.

Still need to be looking down rather than up.
Come on you Sooopa ........
