Darnell Furlong

When should Furlong be reintroduced to the first 11?

I'd like to see Furlong start this Saturday with Rangel on the bench. With 6 games in December, everyone in the squad needs to be ready to play.

The Catalan Angel has been fantastic for us, but he is 36. Furlong is the future.

He should only replace Rangel when fitness is an issue: we need to play our best team every week and Angel is a definite starter for me. If you follow your logic then we don't play Wells, Hemed or Cameron either as they are also not the future.

I've a feeling Furlong and Hall will get chances when we pick up a suspension or two across the back line. It's also coming up to Lynch festive injury time.

Yes, they mentioned we have three players one yellow away from a ban last night

Plenty of time.

He's young, and has his whole career ahead of him. Let him learn from Rangel, play from the bench, and be ready to step in when Rangel retires (probably at the end of the season).

I think Furlong should be introduced as and when needed. Currently we have Hall and Furlong covering the back four places. I am sure all four of Rangel, Lynch, Leistner and Bidwell will be unavailable for one reason or another soon and Furlong can step anywhere across the back four depending on whether he or Hall is more suited.
Come on you Sooopa ........

When he's as good or better than Angel. Or when Angel is injured or gone. That's how it works.

5 yellows goes to 10 yellows on Friday, so we are in the clear for now.
