Really pleased: essential part of the team and another great signing made by the club in recent years.

Excellent news!
Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

Very good news! If 'boro come sniffing now they will have to pay a hefty whack. I wonder if it has anything to do with that, and Manning possibly being recalling in January?
Caveat; I do realise I could be putting two and two together and getting five. :D

Great news, this shows that the club is finally learning how to survive again.
Our best assets need to be looked after, AND the club needs to look after itself.

This means longer contracts for our better players, so that when the time comes for them to move their career onto the next level we are not left with a Charlie Austin situation...

Good move by the club. One of our best players and means we'll command a decent fee if someone comes in for him

My initial reaction to this news was surprise quickly followed by the same thoughts as you Mike, bigger transfer fee and a nice % for Luke himself.

Bearing in mind our lofty league position I don’t think he will go in January but in the summer to compensate for the missing parachute payment.

He has indeed been a great signing, especially when you think we only paid around £300k for him.

If he stays, great, but this should at least ensure we get a decent fee for him if he does move on. Good work from the club.

I don't think he will be sold in January as that would be weeks after stating how much he wanted to stay here etc: Summer window is more likely.
