It may be something whipped up to get him a better deal at Loftus Road. I hope that we can keep him.
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

I've been told by someone who has a connection deep in the club that Rangel and his family are settled here and very active in the community work.
I'd be surprised if he were to leave this window, unless we're cutting costs.

Didn't Rangel say in an interview that his family are still in Swansea?

And through it all, he'll offer us protection
with a lot of our love and affection
I'm loving Angel Rangel :-)

If Angel is on his way I wonder if Massimo would get Josh Risdon to consider moving over here to play in England? He looks to be the sort of RB that would fit into our team and I can't imagine he is getting paid a fortune in the Australian leagues.

As good as Rangel has been, I think a fit Furlong has to be the best option for us in the long term. A 36 year old keeping him out of the side doesn't really fit with our MO.

Except that Angel is a lot better than Furs jnr?

Furs won't get any better sitting games out

You've rather missed the point there. Yes he's better now, but when he was Furlong's age, he was playing lower league football in Spain. Rangel's 36, Furlong 23. Short term vs Long Term.

Unless he clinches that move to Barca / Real / PSG that his agent is confidently predicting will happen in January, we should stick with Rangel for as long as we can. It's not just that he is a more than decent RB, but his general awareness and leadership are A1 - what a great influence he must be on our younger players. Furlong should be challenged to fight his way into the team, not handed a place because he is younger than a player who is showing all of us, week in, week out, that speed and physical strength do not necessarily equate to first class defending.

Absolutely this: Rangel has been the main reason the defence have turned it around IMO. He's been a great signing.

Regardless, Rangel is the better player now. Get him signed up until June

Sort of reminds me about Kyle Walker in 2010....

Colin was desperate to keep him till the end of the season but 'arry wanted him to step up a level with Villa from January....

I hope we keep him but if his short contribution leads to another season in the championship (or better).... I'd wish him well
2018/2019.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....
