Freeman

Post by T-Block » Sat Oct 27, 2018 7:05 pm

Very good last night.

In view of all the plaudits Luongo gets and how Grealish is so rated.

Thought Freeman was better than Grealish.

And now everyone says how much they rate Luongo;being the contrarian I am ,Freeman has been our best player for the last month.

He has improved-not head down anymore.Head up and sees the pass.Really very good.

Bet he is a gobby -shit though.

Motm shout last night, but they all played out of their skins maybe save for hemed who looked tired. I’d have given it Eze (what a player) but can’t complain about lynch getting it.

They’re all playing out of their skins and that’s a credit to the manager.

...one very good thing I noticed recently is...how difficult it has become to pick the MOTM....each match I see several candidates to pick it....
...good, very good.....indeed

I fail to understand how he gets away with it.

He IS wearing shinguards so he complies.

I know but junior size shin pads by all accounts. Many of us grew up watching (often the more skillful) players with socks warming nothing but their ankles and remember those days with great fondness. Nevertheless, I still reckon Grealish is NOT fully complying with today's regulations and is cut a serious amount of slack by the officials.

Based on the Laws of Football?

Actually, i'll do a deal, unless you are still adamant we'll be bottom at Christmas. If you want to donate the money to Don Shanks go fund me , i'll match it and i'll pay you back plus the winnings if it turns out you were right?

Honestly, why be so contrary, you know what I mean and probably even agree!

Sure, Law 4 compulsory equipment includes "shinguards – these must be made of a suitable material to provide reasonable protection and covered by the socks".

Clearly my shin extends further up my leg than his. Maybe Grealish to take it to the next level and cover them with his trainer socks or go the whole hog and wear "no show" socks.

Still most importantly he was on the losing team. 8)
Question everything.

Why do players have to wear shin pads anyway (if they do) and when did the rule come in? (I seem to be a bit off the pace - like years off it!) sick

Law 4 states that shin pads are a required item of the players equipment but there are no minimum or maximum size parameters, nor a definition of what materials a shin pad must be constructed from.

I don't know exactly when the rule was brought in, a while ago for sure, but when I was playing Sunday morning football i was extremely grateful i was wearing them as i had a couple of pads split by lets's say, over zealous tackles (dirty b***rds) which were late and over the top. If Pro's were allowed to not wear them and it filtered down to local football the hospital's would definitely be busier.
