Well no surprise we are 3 down and no surprise that SMc has done nothing apart from put Smith on instead of Eze, but won't put the wingers on to actually try to get the football up to our 3 forwards....

Totally clueless.

After our 4 good games patch, which followed a terrible 4 game patch, we now have another 3 game bad patch. Fairly consistent I wouId say!

So glad we rested players in the league cup, reaping the rewards now.

This is indeed more proof how pointless it is to rest players when they are fit.

And if they don't play them the manager says they look rusty!

Only positive posts on this site please....we did manage 1 shot on target, so all that hard training and tactical knowledge is really paying off.

No goals in three for our fearsome net-busters. I wonder if someone had a word in SM's ear he may play a winger or two ? It seemed to work when Holloway belated stopped playing so narrow.

Correct. If we hadn't rested the players then it would have been six or seven today. Superb forward thinking and damage limitation from the club.

With apologies to Blackadder...

SMc "Wingers my Lord?"
Blackadder "Yes, wingers. Isn't it normal practice to play wingers when you have a big man in the middle?"
SMc "Opinion is divided on that point my Lord"
Blackadder "Really?"
SMc "Aye, all the other managers say it is, I say it isn't"

Positively it's a big improvement on the 7-1 West Brom score!
And we stopped Leroy Fer from scoring.
