Excellent news!
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

Finally - a promising young player who's actually staying around for a bit. Probably!

Now the manager needs to find the right position and administer the correct coaching to maximise the damage he can do on the pitch, in short cast off those 'shackles' (and/or 'mind-forg'd manacles') it's his and his players' job to bust out of. As our fledgling no.10, Eze needs to be playing as a no.10 - just off the front line, wriggling into the box like Mr Bowles and playing merry hell with defenders' minds. (I hope he's watching all the videos.)

I think well done Eze as well, a young player following the correct path. Of course, unless we do get promoted, he will be gone within three years but with good playing time behind him and a bit of money for us.

I thought Freeman played at the top of the midfield diamond though?
Maybe if Freeman gets pushed out wide it might spark his move?

For me, Freeman's a creative central midfielder, but not a classic 'No.10' as such. (More technically-minded posters than me may have more cogent analysis here.) In any event, it's the manager's job to accommodate them both for the good of the team. Against Preston, it seems, he was out-thought and both our most creative players were largely nullified. He needs to improve, and so do the players.

Awful news. I really get a kick out of running the club down and calling them a joke at any given opportunity. Could they not have buried this on a good news day.

Good stuff from the club and nice that Eze wants to stick around, at least for the moment and it saves us enforcing our option on the player which can't be ideal if a player isn't interested.

I read that and thought it's easily the best bit of business we're going to conclude this week.

Good news indeed !

In the interview on the offish Eze comes across as a sensible young man with both feet firmly planted in the W12 soil
