Mein gott, are we still lumping it up to Smith to win flick ons?
Not anymore, Sylla has just replaced him. Preston substitutions suggest they are happy to defend the 1-0.

Sounds like one goal will be enough. Our chronic form on the road looks likely to continue for a long time yet. Olly is right about us needing some additions.

1 shot on target, and 30% odd possession. I'm sorry - this is Preston, not Barcelona. But hardly an unpredictable start, I'm sorry to say.

Not despondent, Leistner sounds like a very good signing, just angry that we've let in the only goal... yet again.
Happens far far too often, upper management must be as pi$$ed off as supporters at this - something for McClaren
to work on.

Yep... very frustrating. Let's take some of that out on Sheff Utd now.

Sounds like we are playing against a bunch of time wasting cheats

Yep, hoping SM can get more out of Sylla than IH did. Think there’s more to come if we can bring out the best of him.

Horribly efficient team are Preston. Most predictable result of the day unfortunately.

Just like at LR last season. One day I would like time wasting to be a sending-off offence. They are, apart from being ungentlemanly, robbingthe spectator out of part of their admission money.

Utter cheating bastards. Buts that what you have to do at this level, the fine margins.

We werent great overall but had by far the 2 best chances. One or both of those go in and its a different story. Outrageous save from their keeper from Sylla.

Only one team in the Championship didn't score today :x

I don't think we were too far off today. It could easily have been 1-1 (Sylla?! )
Preston looked very strong, though their time wasting tactics were a disgrace. On this showing we will be o.k. this season.Predicting a comfortable mid-table finish.
