Ben Wells - New U23 signing

Post by Satch » Wed Jul 04, 2018 7:16 pm

Centre back and former captain of West Ham u18s, rejected a deal with them to sign for us on a one year deal. Does anyone know anything about him? Sounds like another interesting prospect.

Sounds like all these ex youth captains & u23’s we keep signing & are being linked with we will have a title winning team before long.

Given our inability to compete in the transfer market, this seems to be the way forward. I feel more comfortable with these type of signings than some of the overpriced rubbish we had a name for a few years back.

Hopefully when these players make it through to the first team we'll see the sense in this approach.

I don't know anything about the lad but by turning down a contract at West Ham in favour of QPR he must feel there are better opportunities for him here.

Joe Felix, the RB who signed for us a few days ago, is another well thought of youngster who's chosen to come to QPR.

We're attracting good quality U23s who must have seen in Smyth, Eze, BOS and others, the path they too could take into first team football.
