QPR have completed the signing of defender Toni Leistner following the expiry of his contract with FC Union Berlin.
The 27-year-old German centre-back joins on a three-year deal and adds vital experience to SMC’s young squad.

Leistner – who was the subject of interest from the Bundesliga and Championship after turning down a new deal at Union Berlin in March – has flown out to Portugal to join up with his new team-mates as they continue their pre-season preparations on the Algarve.

Looks a bit of a beast and SM reckons he likes to play a bit too. Seems Polti put in a good word for us 😀

I know he is only young but, as we need a striker, how about putting a bid in for Kylian Mbappé. He has the pace we would like to see and seems to be a decent finisher.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

I assume by “putting in a bid” you mean kidnap. I’m in.

He says he likes to play football the hard way. He's sure to fit in well at QPR.

Welcome Toni. A friend of Seb Polter's a friend of ours.

No coincidence that sale of Smithies followed by first signing coming in - keeping us in line with what we need to do for FFP?

Seem to have done their homework on him too.

I think we'll put the money in getting in a few World Cup defenders

Tony from Leinster? Is Martin O'Neill aware of him?

Seems like this could be a good signing for us. Strange he wasn't on the radar of any news outlets.

Looked him up on Fifa and he's ranked 75 overall - which - although it's merely the rankings for a computer game - put in comparison with out other players; would make him our best player.

...it would not need much to get that ...enough that he can kick the ball decently and move on the pitch....
