If Chris Martin is deemed good enough by SMC for QPR that's fine by me. SMC knows the lad and is the manager and expert. Fans know nothing compared with SMC.
So you’ll be buying a SMC brolly from the clubshop this winter then when we’re battling relegation with Chris Martin

Is signing Chris Martin a rush of blood to the head?

...and if managers bring in players they know and trust, as Neil Warnock did, and as it looks like McLaren will then does this mean we will be able to sing “He’s one of our own” to Richard Keogh every single game?

Keogh would rather take up netball than come to QPR.

I'll tell what I will be doing....IF Chris Martin signs, I will give him a fair crack of the whip before slagging him off!

Fair enough, but he isn't an unknown quantity, it's not unreasonable for people who've seen him play to not really fancy signing him.

This is my point exactly though....as long as SMC fancies signing him to play, that's good enough for me and should be good enough for the fans. It matters not one iota what the fans think of Mr Martin or any player that is signed for that matter, its what the manager and the club thinks of a player that matters. Just being the voice of reason.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Not suggesting we should, but just pointing out that he may be one of those players McLaren likes. He won’t sign for us in a million years, but if he does, he have a song for him ready made :-)

I seem to remember our fans not giving Clint Hill and Shaun Derry the warmest of welcomes...

I'd like to think so mate yes! :D No point slagging off or criticising QPR players is there...it achieves nothing. Supporters support. Slagging off players for me, is saved for opposition players.

Exactly so DB....just shows what "fans" really know doesn't it. It points to giving ALL players a chance before making a negative judgement on them.
