I tend to agree with all that. I don't think the player or the club have done anything wrong here.

It'll be interesting to see where he ends up. I don't think he quite fulfilled all his promise and/or praise at the club, and for some reason I find it difficult to know how good he is (or isn't). But, if he's mainly leaving for lucre, I can't be unhappy he's on his way.

I’m very unhappy with the Smithies situation, unless there was a clause in his contract then I think it’s a very poor piece of business.

I don’t blame the club at all over Robinson though. Even in hindsight I would have done exactly the same thing - the clubs hands were tied.
