Wells would be a real coup even on loan.
I can't imagine we could afford his whole salary and i assume Burnley would have plenty of takers who could.
Let’s hope the relationship with Sean Dyche can help swing it.

He’s very close friends with Lee Hoos. And the back room team bought in by SMC.
I can't see any relationship being good enough to persuade them to take a financial hit, unless they really believe Wells would come back a better player having been with us, over anywhere else. Which is a tough sell. I'm obviously assuming there will be others interested.

If he gets his confidence and goal scoring touch back, then that makes him an asset for Burnley again.
He won't get that in the U23's so it's probably more a question of what club will give him the most game time and suit his style of play.

On the basis of the few games so far, we appear to be looking for a back to goal Zamora type, which is a shame!

Why is that a shame?

Re Wells, i agree with why they'd loan him, i'm questioning if we would be able to afford his salary in full and if we can't would there be other teams who would.

Sorry, yes it's not that clear. I meant it looks like the team is setup for a Chris Martin to play with his back to goal. I'd like to see what Wells could do, but I don't think the shape of the team would suit his game.
A bit like when we had Remy, I feel like we didn't feed him the correct service and he could have been so much better!

Still in talks with Nahki Wells & Hemed according to Dave Mc.

Also an ITK poster on Fantasy Island's mentioned we've made an inquiry for Betinelli (Fulham GK):
As before I only know what goes on with Fulham . Last night we made an enquiry for Bettinelli . That’s all it is at this stage . We’re waiting on a reply. This is ongoing now so don’t know anything else till it happens . But soon as I do I’ll post it up .

It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Both decent signings. I especially like Hemed - has what it takes to lead the line in Championship.

Linked with Liam Lindsay from Barnsley. 22yo CB.
We can't buy him, it's too late. A nice season long loan with first refusal would be OK.

Of course, but it could be a loan to purchase, which is what I imagine we'll look at doing with several players.

No matter how the deal is structured, I can’t see us spending £4m on any player for the foreseeable future.

We need a CB, but I strongly doubt it’ll be him.
