Forgive me if I've missed this but has it been confirmed as to whether Ollie's been sacked or left of his own accord or came to a mutual agreement with the club? That obviously has some bearing on the debate.
If you read the short Official Statement dm I think this part gives it away “However, we are now looking to take the next step as we continue to work through what is a vital period of transition for the football club.''

Ollie himself recently said that he had a year left on his contract and that he would like to extend it.
Thanks Rbee. That's interesting though the official statement also says "Ian Holloway has left QPR with immediate effect" so I find it quite ambiguous.

I suppose the away form coupled with him being brought in at the insistence of TF over others advice may also have had a lot of bearing on the decision.

I think the owners simply want success quickly. Bills to pay and all that.

I think as loyal fans we deserve to know the truth about why he left. Fat chance. It’ll all be non disclosure clauses in compromise agreements.

He is and was a Rangers legend who- depending on your viewpoint- was going a good job with limited resources. The sacking is strange.

I don’t believe McClaren was brought in because the board thought he was a better option. Ollie said he wanted to stay and was apparently planning for next season.

The secrecy- though totally normal in modern football- is going to be a breeding ground for discontent unless McClaren nails it. It’s an absolute PR blunder (especially with all the talking up of Ollie and the need for stability). I think the fans can be rightly annoyed about spending their hard earned money and time on supporting the club at the same time as being kept in the dark about what is on the face of it a very strange decision.

See my previous post. Hoos, Fernandes and co. didn't even have the guts to use the word. Spineless c*nts.

Jeez, as much as I have a soft spot for IH, what's with the MB melt down? I do clearly recall some years ago the whole Leicester debacle which led to his last departure. Sure, the emergence of some potentially talented youngsters seems to suggest an about turn in our fortunes but as to who should claim the credit for the current situation is debatable. I'm really not quite sure what to make of the whole situation but alas nothing surprises me when it comes to this club of ours.

Nevertheless, come what may ...We are QPR!
Question everything.

I've felt embarrassed for Tony F as a result of the abuse he's received by the twatty Twitterati, but this time I truly feel he deserves all he gets.

I doubt we will ever know but I am not sure how much Ruben knows about potential EFL Managers.

Well IH was brought in at TF 's insistence so I doubt that it was him that pulled the trigger.

If true this is a double edged sword.... A lot weren't convinced (me included) by his re-appointment as it seemed ANOTHER populous move by Uncle Tony courting favour with the fans again...

The method of his removal has made me personally unhappy rather than loyalty to him or his supposed replacement....

Uncle Tony will get most of the flak as a lot still consider him the "chairman" rather than "co-chairman", he really should stand down and sit in the shadows like Flav did during our promotion season....

Amit as the frontman anyone?
2017/2018.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

So people with money don't deserve your sympathy or concern, especially one who has done so much for this club over the last 20-25 years?, We will agree to disagree. We've hijacked this thread enough

Besides, I also thought Dani Parejo was a great player and was way too good for QPR...
Of course it’s sad of course I can have a degree of feeling towards a rich person that is hard done by but my original comment is I won’t lose sleep over it & I doubt Ollie will either, hardly spiteful & nasty.

Oh DB i was just starting to think you were a decent fella & then you have to act like a 12yr old trying to get a reaction regarding Pajero, never mind enjoy school today.
And that is your position. My point is that there are other factors rather than money. Ollie has been a loyal servant to the R's as a player and a manager - I believe a combined 500 games. You say Ollie won't be losing sleep. I bet he is gutted. He has a bond to the club that has been forcibly removed. Ian Holloway is a decent and principled family man. If you haven't read his autobiography I would recommend that you give it a go. I am sure that the money side of it is furthest from his mind right now.

Ha! Ha! It was just a little joke to lighten the mood pal! Don't take it badly!

Its ok I’ve got a sense of humour, you say it’s not about the money for Ollie of course it isn’t because he’s rich that’s my whole point, everyday joe off the street would be financially up the creek.

Anyway listen I don’t even know why we’re having this conversation, nothing surprises me with qpr anymore I just hope the next gaffer isn’t a complete numpty I really do.
