Dodgy central line last night

Post by Eastcote Ranger » Wed Apr 11, 2018 4:04 pm

For the first time in 50 odd years (very odd years..!) I missed the start of the game due to the central line going down. Can someone remind me of a better start to a game for QPR in terms of goals scored in first 15 minutes to comfort the train loads that missed the first 3 goals but were forced to listen to a stand up comedian tube driver instead? He was quite amusing actually!
Thanks

Also was amusing seeing a number of Wednesday fans leaving at 20 mins. They couldn't work out why loads of Rangers decided to turn up late...
There was a lot of confused folk outside - bit like the Brentford game. Don't start me on that one. All I know is had I stayed v Brentford and got to the game on time last night we would have lost both!

That's really bad luck! It's normally a safe bet that QPR won't have scored if you get here a bit late, let alone three. I think it was over 20 years since we scored three so quickly? QPR 3 Newcastle 0 in 1995, two for Les and one for Simon Barker after 19 minutes.

Seem to remember a game, I think against Burnley, a fair few years back when Furlong sr was playing in which we put three in very quickly, but maybe not THAT quickly!

Dodgy District Line tomorrow due to industrial action. Hopefully this will not spill over into Saturday for those that use the line to get into west London.
