Villa next

Post by Devonranger » Sun Mar 11, 2018 11:51 am

So how would you line us up for this one?

Get the impression that Jedinak won a shed load in the middle of the park for them against Wolves - think we need to use the flanks here and would think bringing Pav or BOS in for this game with Smyth the other side.

The other option is whether you give Freeman a rest and put Eze in there - might give Jedinak something to occupy him?

You're right that Freeman needs a rest and I'd like to see Manning in his place.

A formidable task away to Villa then Fulham. Surely even Albert Steptoe won't complain if we lose these two games.

Won 8 out of there last 10 scoring 22 goals in the process.

Villa have only lost once at home this season out of 18 games, we have only won twice away out of 17 games.

On paper it’s a formality, let’s hope we can rip up the form book.

11-0-0 they all stand on the goal line and put the fattest two on their shoulders not leaving any gaps, but it won't be pretty

Hopefully the Villa players put everything into beating Wolves so won't be up for an easy home win against lowly QPR. Fingers crossed they'll go into the game thinking they just need to turn up. We've done OK there in recent years so I wouldn't be surprised if we get something from the game.

Mind you with our away record, is it worth turning up at Villa park?

No, not at all. There's no point in going to a football match if your team isn't guaranteed a win is there?
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Hopefully the team have a bit more balls than you.

Have just read that Smyth is doubtful - toe problem. Oh dear.
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

Time to give BOS a start if Smyth is out.

He's a left winger too then? Does he play another other positions? Would be a shame to see two talented youngsters fighting for the same position, as I'm not convinced Smyth is suited elsewhere
