Gino Padula

Post by Esox Lucius » Sun Feb 18, 2018 9:09 am

Gino is in the country at the moment with his soccer academy and as we are playing Nottm. Forest next at home I wouldn't be in the least surprised if Gino was to be introduced into the Forever R's at half time with good vocal support from both sets of fans. If anyone wanted to turn up that doesn't normally go, make it this time. I hope he gets a roof raising cheer when he walks on the pitch.

I got one of those Cult Zeros shirts with "Gino Loves You" written under his little face.

I think she's thrown it out. Otherwise I'd lend it to one of you.

Alas neither, although i do recall just getting to my seat one game to see him unleash a thunderbolt of a shot that rattled the bar and i nearly did likewise. Seemed like a great bloke, fun to watch and having long barneted Argentinean fullback seemed pretty exotic when we were enduring the drudgery of the old 3rd, like a pounstretcher Juan Pablo Sorin. Him and Cook on the same flank was a real treat.

So true. We needed some bright light occasionally, to get us through a long dark tunnel. Gino could not only shoot, but, he took a decent, in-swinging corner, too.
It's simple. Score more goals than they do.

I remember him flicking the ball over the head of a striker twice, right in front of R block :D
Sorry in advance.

Remember a car load of us driving past him on the way to a home game as he was stood at the bus stop! We stopped and gave him a lift to the Bush! Top man and more than happy to sit in the back of a Fiesta!! 😂

Before the days of selfies unfortunately!!
